Aaliyah's debut album Age Ain't Nothin' But A Number was released in 1994. The album was Gold at the age of fifteen years old. The group was strongly influenced by R. Kelly, and put the singer in the spotlight. In 1996, she teamed up with Jermaine Dpri as well as Timbaland for her sophomore studio album One In A Million, featuring the number one hit track If Your Girl Only knew. Aaliyah became a well-known R&B artist after her album's release. She was a part of the legendary martial artist Jet Li in the 2000 action-romance film Romeo Must Die. But, she has both Aarti Mann as well as Aarti Majumdar for her professional name. Though she started her career by playing minor film and television roles her acting career gained growth in the latter half of 2000s. Some of her most notable roles include Grey's Anatomy, Suits and Leverage. The commercials she has done have been for big brands, like Volvo. She is currently working on her acting career at Los Angeles, where she lives with her daughter and husband.
