Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine is an enigmatic musician, singer and actor. The singer combines jazz from the soul genre with R&B to create a unique mixture. Sunshine has appeared on Broadway and in the Democratic National Convention and in clubs and festivals throughout Europe. Sunshine's real name is Denise White. She is now a resident of Atlanta she was born in Chester Pennsylvania. Her musical path began at church, where she sang as well as was a pianist. The musical journey began for her in Atlanta at Spellman College. The Fighting Temptations The first single to feature her vocals was called Stalk You a house 12 issued exclusively in Japan; it was later remixed by many producers and remains the mainstay in her live show. The voice of hers was featured on the soundtrack of The Fighting Temptations. She became the primary pianist for Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, a Grammy and Tony Award winning vocalist who had worked on the stage production Dreamgirls during the National Black Arts Festival of Atlanta in 2007, contacted her about being the choir leader of the stage production. Sunshine received national attention during her four daily performances during 2008's Democratic National Convention. She was then invited to perform at President Barack Obama's 2008 inauguration.
