Jeanie Marie Buss has been an American businesswoman for more than 20 years. She is the owner of control of the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association and currently is the president of the organization. Buss is a California born Buss has been raised by an upper class family. Jerry Buss' father was an entrepreneur in real estate who was later a part owner of the Lakers along with several other companies in the field of sports. After her parents split up in 1972, she was convinced that they'd abandoned her. At 19 years old, she joined the family's business as general manager for the Los Angeles Strings professional tennis team. In the following years, she created the Los Angeles Blades roller hockey professional team. She was the president at the Great Western Forum, before becoming Vice president for the Lakers. Buss and her five sisters were heirs to his Lakers controlling ownership after the death of Bussher father in 2013. Each sister had an equal voice. she assumed the duties as president for the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss also owns Women of Wrestling, a professional promotion of wrestling with its the headquarters located in Los Angeles.
